Default HID Conversion Kit

Has anybody got an HID kit for their 06 civic and knows a good place online to buy one for a good price. Ive always had bad luck with ebay.

And does anybody know what is a good brand.

My friend got an HID kit from this website and its at a good price.
Does anybody know where i can get a better deal?

I installed some a few weeks ago for a friend and this is who he bought his from.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

They are a little pricey, but the way he set up his ebay page makes me believe him and that it may be worth the extra money. He could be lying, but who know's. I do know that it was a good kit and easy to install.

Are these kit Plug-N-Play..... doesnt look like it from the connectors.

To OP: If the kit is not PnP it is going to be much more difficult to install, also you are going to need to cut into the stock harness to do so. If you really want a set of good PnP HID's PM me i have a set of 9006(your bulb size) in either 6000k,8000k,10000k, or 12000k. I have a set on my 4door Si and they are 100x better than stock and only took about 30 minutes to install. Can have them shipped to you for $170.

I recently installed a plug and play kit in my girlfriends 07 civic ex coupe, and while I normally roll my eyes when people bitch and complain about doing retrofits, I will have to agree with them due to the headlight housing in the new civics. The amount of glare that the new civic housing produces creates too much glare and while it does make the road brighter in some spots, the usable light doesn't justify paying for the hid kit, which you can now find for a very reasonable price. I'll post pics to show what I mean, lights make the housing look great, but the beam pattern is terrible.

Dude, it's about the HID, that's why the person post up the pictures of the car. It's not about the M3's fog light or whatever. To me, it seems like the picture is trying to show off the HID. Which makes the other guy right though because why would you want those HID in a car that comes standard with and not mention that the HID parts on those cars are much more better too.

THANK YOU.

I'd seriously paypal you 5 bucks for that endorsement that you have to pay to play.

I've said time and time again, I tried 5 different halogen bulbs and 1 HID kit, and I wasted my money on every single one.

Putting more light into a housing that doesn't perform well already isn't going to improve your lighting quality, it's just going to put more light where it's already going. You get patches of too much light, dark patches, plus glare from the chrome of hte housing being overloaded with light.

Thank you thank you thank you.

I spent probably 400 bucks on my HID kit and various halogen solutions, and there's no point in putting makeup on a pig...it's still a pig.

save the embarrasment to look like a ufo on wheels and spend money on pointless crap that will malfunction in a year, get outperformed by halogens and will probably burn your harness due to the high fail ratings. Again, that crap will cost you 120-140 but from your own pocket you will have to pay 500 or more to replace your stock harness.

i too dont see the point in changing color of either light....unless youre doing it cause youre getting MORE light out of it. (going with less kelvin degrees, and that in the case the car came with >5000k)
i personally have 6000k due to dealers mistake and im hoping to get a retrofit...so really i dont car much about the color, but i wanted 4300k....

purple light FTMFL

That's not bad...I'm using some NightHawks, they're a bit brighter than stock, and i'm throwing up glare left and right. Stupid Accord housings ftmfl. If my car doesn't have HID's, I will retrofit it. I spent too much money as an idiot in high school to screw up another car.

Who the hell wants different K? I wouldn't go higher than 5300, and anything more than 6,000k is a ridiculous display of idiotic color. You lose light output in favor of color, and the only reason people want those colors is because they want to look like BMWs. The big problem is...BMW'S HAVE THAT COLOR BECAUSE OF THE WAY LIGHT REFRACTS IN THE PROJECTOR HOUSING!

/rant.
