I have a 89 std hatch with jdm b16 i/h/e stage 3 competition clutch lightened flywheel and chipped ecu from "mines" (The ecu came with my swap Vtec at 5000rpm). 99 si wheels with kumho ast tires at 25psi. Tokico drop springs on blues and revo 2 upper control arms with the ajustable camber kit. I leave at 2000-2300rpm so i dont break a stock axle. Replaced pass side 2 times already. The car hopps at about 3500 and will not stop until i shift and sometimes it hopps in secound also. This is killing my axles. I ran 3 days and the pass axle is going again. My best time is 14.8 with the hopping. I have a z10 traction bar that i will put on this week. I also have to get some upgraded axles so I can launch higher.(60Foot suck 2.2s) Is this suspension killing me or what could it be. I forgot to mention that only the pass side hopps or spinns. Same side wiggles during breaking.(Tie rod may be getting shot) Please Help.
traction bars and control arm bushings.
also, loose parts like ball joints and tie rods will cause said symptoms.
make sure the car doesnt have bad camber, although it probably wont cause wheel hop, it will give u shitty traction and bad tire wear.
Also, street tires shouldnt be ran at anything less than recomended specs, its a major safety issue as they are not designed to be driven like that, at all.
Ive even heard that when running street tires at too low of a PSI, it will cause traction loss due to not having sidewalls that wrinkle, causing the middle of the tire to lift away from the ground.or trie to atleast.

You don't need a "stage 3" clutch with a masicly stock b16. It's going to be hell to modulate and slip off the line along with your street tires. If you want yo eliminate hop, get a real drag radial or slick.
I had no problems slipping my ACT extreme and unsprung 6puck.
The clutch is in the car, so dont take it out.
And, ur not going to break axles once u elminate ur problems.
So fix ur ****, get some drag radials and set ur 2step WAY higher.
and after actually reading ur first post, u DEF. have a loose suspension part.

i got stage 3 clutch because it was less than stage 2. I am building a ls/vtec all motor right now with p30 pistons eagle rods and s2s2 cams and valvetrain components and will be tuned on chrome or neptune. The upper control arms are new revo 2, lower ball joints new, wheel bearings new and i think the tie rods may be shot. I dont have a two step(May get one). I ordered bfgs tonight and should have them and traction bar on for friday. I will check to see if anything is loose in the suspension and check the tie rods. I also have no sway bar could that be a issue. Thanks
Set your toe at zero and your camber at zero and replace control arm bushings with good stuff. Good luck
