I have a 90 hatchback std with dpfi injection and when i start my car up it hits really low rpms? and also when i turn on the car i here this grinding noise like if it was the flywheel was spinning?

Have you checked your vacuum lines? perhaps one is torn/leaking and is causing your idle to bog down. Maybe, just maybe.

Have you tweaked the idle screw to raise the rpm? Is this a recent happening, or has it always been this way?

 

it has always been this way and also when i floor the gas at 1st gear and than shift to 2 gear it chokes and the rpms bog down? what could be the problem? help please

 

have you checked what I told you yet?

It could also be a faulty ignition component.

Go over all your ignition stuff, see if anything is bad.
