Oh my Gawd: Jun 3's rock.
After putting 1000 KM (600 miles) on my rebuilt motor, I finally let her rip tonight. I still need tuning as I am just running a JUN 3 base program in my Hondata.
Vtec x-over is set at 6000, and the first time that I let it rip, the speed at which the tach climbed past 6000 really surprised me, and almost caught me off gaurd.
. With my stock GSR motor, the power would start to drop off at 7600, now the tach climbs like a bike.
There is a little more mid range (4500 -6000), but above 6000, the car is crazy. I have shift light indicator set at 8500, and that is the max that I took it to, but there is still lots of power higher. I will go higher after I finish tuning

You're gonna have a nice freak motor.
Lets not forget that you have a port/polished head, hondata, jun3 cams w/valvetrain, ctr pistons. Of course you can't compare to what you were before

i liked my JUN3 cams on my stock internalled GSR motor. they didnt end up doin as much as i expected i used the yr b4 (ITR). now that i have the proper CR for such a big cam and in alot lighter car, its just crazy. i still have tuning to do also. im currently runnin stock P72 ECU w/ VAFC. mods in sig, but this thing is a beast. im sure the 1980lb car helps a bit too
in the coupe it was loud. its hard to describe, it was loud to begin with then u add JUN 3 cams and it get louder. now that its in my hatch thats stripped its pretty god damn loud too. its amazing what some sound deadening does to the sound of VTEC. i put on a new filter (had shop rag folded over about 5 times, lost the filter) on the hatch days ago and im truly convinced the car got more HP. first gear just rips, almost sport bike like revs.
how's your VTEC sound with jun 3'z??? as loud as stock?? or what? hehe just wondering
When the big lobe kicks in, there is a sound like a freight train...... all the drivers around me look (hehehe). I am thinking of getting an SMSP catback to quiet the sound.
