Default Injen CAI, DCRH, Stock 05 exhaust *video inside*

Unless i'm the only one, before i modded my car i ALWAYS wondered what it would sound like with an Injen CAI and DCRH with stock exhaust. Well, thats what i have and i made a short little video. Sorry its kinda shitty i had to set the camera on a damn ballard cuz today i was flyin solo. This is my first time hearing it outside the car. Sounds pretty mean and the vtec cross over is really noticeable when i come back the other way. 1st to 2nd wheel spin FTL!!

Sounds good man, I'm planning on doing the same sort of setup myself on the EP. Hopefully I will be able to REALLY hear the crossover once I open her up! (k24a2 ftw!)

im gonna try and get a better video soon. This heat seems like it kills my car everytime i go somewhere. I also had the a/c on when i made the video so it took a little bit of performance away. OK i lied it took a LOT of bit away. Im gonna go try and make a better video right now. Thanks for the comments guys. Im starting to get used to the extra power and my car is starting to feel slow lol. sucks....

With the stock axleback on there, it's not deafening loud is it? I've got the stock k20a3 header + cat + comptech catback... But I'm going to be switching to the DCRH + 2.5" Custom piping w/ a stock axleback. Hoping against all hope that I can keep it relatively quiet.

Fairfax police will nail you for noise in a heartbeat

its not loud at all especially when you're just cruising. In my opinion it sounds just right. The only reason im not upgrading from stock exhaust is because from research ive found that the 05-06 type-s exhaust flows pretty good. Im not sure about an ep3 axleback. Unless you plan on getting dcrh, 2.5" piping and have an 05-06 oem axleback modified to fit on your car. If thats the case it should sound pretty close to what mine sounds like.

I was planning on using the ep3 axleback, but I could try to get ahold of a type-s axleback if it's that much better.

did u get ESMM? it'll help with wheel hop and its recommended with the dcrh to prevent it from cracking under heavy shifting.

heres another quick video i just made....in this one you can see how bad the wheel spin actually is, but on take off you can hear the exhaust a little bit better. Sounds a little raspy during take off. Also i noticed when i put the rh on my injectors seem to make a **** LOAD more noise. Its got me paranoid listening to that loud *** ticking sound everytime i start the car.

Nah man, your videos are good quality. I've seen a lot worse on the net.

0-60 in like 7secs, not bad on your gripless stock tires

lol...people tell me it pulls harder with aftermarket. someday ill break down and get an aftermarket exhaust but i really dont want anything thats louder that what i currently have. a lot of people have been running the reflash with rh and cai with stock exhaust and ive seen numerous dyno charts where it leans out just before vtec and then after that its all good through the rest of the powerband. Considering our cars come pig rich from the factory it might not be too bad to lean it out a little. As long as its not dangerously lean but so far nobody has been able to prove that theory. 5-600 bucks for the reflash is worth an extra 10-15whp. Only thing is i need my car everyday so i cant afford the 3 or 4 day downtime to send it to hondata.

Yea you 05+ people have it bad with the Hondata situation. I wonder how it would sound with the reflash, because I have #4 reflash as well as a CAI and RH.

That sucks that you can't afford the downtime. I'm not sure how good the reflash is, but I've got Kpro and can tell you that this thing is simply amazing!

k-pro for me will be a grip. Like 2k when its all said and done. I think im gonna give the reflash a shot and as soon as i install it get some dyno time and see what the a/f's look like. I definately wouldnt mind the extra 15-20 whp in the midrange. Ill for sure need new tires then.

220whp/160wtq....**** ill take that anyday with rh/cai/reflash. Not too lean either. Just in the few minutes i researched ive found atleats a half dozen ppl with 05+ running rh with reflash with no problems. My mind is set now im getting the reflash!!
