Default Insurance: Propert Damage Check but they missed parts

...preface..accident free since i got my licence..accident...not my fault..adjuster came out...got a check today.

but...

its all body parts and doesn't cover mechanical parts like my shifter and clutch. What do I do?

I'm going to have my bike towed over to a shop near here, and get a quote...times like these I wish I had a truck

but can I resubmit the claim?

call them up and tell them that the adjuster isn't even close. take your bike to a dealer and pay them for an estimate, make sure every scratch is on the estimate. Let the adjuster know how far off he was. Don't settle for anything less than what is going to cost you if you weren't at fault.

When i wrecked my bike, I HAD to have it estimated by a dealer which worked out in the end because they look over almost everything. It cost me like $50 to have it done but it was worth it in a way.

Im confused....you got in an accident, and the insurance company of the person who is at fault is not going to pay out to get the damaged mechanical parts covered? If this is the case, call those a-holes back, and tell them they have no legal ground to stand on to back that decision. If their policy holder is at fault, they are required to pay to repair your bike to like-new condition.

I've still not cashed any check with AAA on it. I'm getting a uhaul this weekend and taking it to the shop to get the estimate done.

She was at fault, so basically everything is reimbursed.

In the case of cars it can be the same type of deal. its hard to give estimates that are accurate without getting into things. For instance today we had a car come in that I estimated $935 for some frt end damage. Well after getting the bumper and headlight out its far worse than we thought. So you have to call the adjuster, they will sometimes come look at it, and write another check. They hate doing that, but hey **** happens.
