Default some electrical issues on my gsR that been buggin me..

i bought my car used last year, but was too lazy to fix these problems since i bought it.

the first issue that ive been having, is that the dashboard light is so frickin dim. i put the light up all the way, but my car feels so dark at night. anyone else have this problem?

the second problem is that the attenna doesnt retract anymore. i can hear the motor going, but it just stays up - and i cant figure out how to take the dang thing off. would this be an easy fix?

the last issue, is that my signal has the ricey hyper blink thing. i heard that if i change the bulbs, it should go back to normal, but i think he might have done something with the wiring to get it to blink fast. is there anyway to check this?

TIA for your help.

what year is it? i have a 2000 gsr and had a 1994 ls.

the dashboards were dim on both cars.

the antenna on both of my cars were stuck up and so i just shoved them down. it didnt seem to hurt reception at all; not that i listen to radio anyways.

lastly, my left signal blinks super fast, but my right one is fine. im not sure how to fix this so help is appreciated.

Antenna Mast Replacement http://www.team-integra.net/se...D=914
For the hyperflash: Do you have any bulbs out or are you using any of those LED bulbs? Either one of those situations will cause that hyperflash

Have you checked the dash bulbs to make sure that they all work?

My antenna did the same thing... I could hear the motor but the mast wasnt going down. so instead of paying $50 for a new mast I just got a ITR antenna plug since I never use the radio.

Yeah the antenna thing is farely common.... Mine goes up and down just fine, but it makes a god awful noise while doing so.. need a new motor, but Im not worried about it, infact I would lke it to just stop making noise and stop working, I dont listen to the radio.. So your antenna motor is probably bad.. And I have a 95 gsr and my dashboard lights are really bright.. I would replace the bulbs? It does sound like there has been some weird wiring maybe..

1. the dash board lights on our tegs can be dim due to the fact that the light bulb is old. simply replace them. there are 3 light bulbs in the back of the dash. i used red 194 bulbs for mine and they do the job just fine.

2. you problem is the antenna mast. its plastic and tends to fail. simply replace it.

3. the fast blinking of the light is the cause of a shortage. dont be alarmed by me saying a shortage. led lights can be the cause of the hyper blinking. when i said shortage, check you 1157 bulb on the front turn signal lights. some people usually disconnect the plug to this light to attain the fast blinking. if its still connected, check the light bulb itself. its a dual filament bulb so make sure that both filaments are still working.

that should wrap it up for you.

nice, thanks guys. i will be working on all this stuff today.

i will probably just buy another antenna instead of spending money to replace the mast on this one.

push the antenna in and unplug the power source to it. So it'll stay down and you down have to buy a plug
