Suspension question...
I know how much we all hate the..."Which setup should I get?" posts. Believe me when I tell you...I have done my research & searched on several boards prior to posting this. But I need some advice from people that actually have experience with these different combinations.
I have a 97 Accord EX coupe that I drive daily. I have decided on Koni sports. My question lies in which model...regular Koni Sport (3 perch 8041-1185 & 8041-1168SP4) or the neuspeed SP3 (5 perch 8041-1167SP3 & 8041-1168SP3). The SP3 also has a slightly shorter shaft length than the regular koni sport. I also am trying to decide between 2 different springs as well.
I know I can get a set of 4 SP3's with neuspeed race springs for $600 directly from neuspeed's website. However from what I have read. The race springs are to harsh/low for the street. I would prefer to use eibach sportline springs ($200 shipped) due to the good feedback from alot of different people, good looks, & ride. I got a price of $475 shipped on 4 regular Koni sports. Is it worth the $75 extra for the sportlines? Is it worth giving up the flexability of the 5 perch SP3 for benefits of the eibachs over the neuspeed race springs? The difference in drop is similar between them, but my concern is ride quality. I know I could just get the Sp3's separately & run them with the sportlines, but then we are talking like $720. Which is like another $50 that I would rather spend on something else.
I do have a 93 sedan for the winter months, so that is not a concern. Any advice will be apreciated especially from those who have driven on these setups.
