Default clutch issue...need ideas

ok a while back i had the original clutch in my car(110000 miles) it was pretty much screwed. i have a d16z6 and just put a new oem exedy in it. and royal purple synchromax in the trans. i used to be able to shift into second without getting off the throttle and very quickly shift into second. i cqn no longer do that, at about 6 even with getting off the gas the snchro locks up at the gate and takes forever to catch. im either thinking theres not enough time for total clutch disengagement or that the pil is too heavy. im going to be replaceing the master and slave. what do you guys think??

thanks

Why would you shift without getting off the throttle? From what I hear thats not good for the car.

as to not loose any time, i used to be able to shift from frist to second with 100 % throttle and only jump 500 rpms. now it barley goes into gear with the engine idling down

Sounds like it's time for a new 2nd gear synchro. D-series transmissions were designed to be efficient, they were not designed to withstand being slammed into gear like your in a Best Motoring DVD. If you shift that hard and fast it will wear out the synchro much faster. You can keep driving it without fixing the synchro if you can stand shifting slower and try to match revs as best you can to take some stress of the worn synchro. Replacing the master and slave won't help.

Full throttle shifts will wear the synchro ring and gear itself out very quickly because they engine is accelerating the difference in shaft speeds, making the synchro work harder.

new 1-2 gear set goes for 260 bucks from a dealer, and can be more depending on where you get them from.

Use a 10w30 oil or Honda MTF, its not that hard to understand...
