Default Got a 91 hatchback SI!

I currently have a 1990 si hatchback. just today i picked up from a friend a non running 1991 Si hatchback for me to swap my engine into. I got a hell of a deal so i thought id share my good fortune since oddly enough i got the car on friday the 13th lol. i wanted to do this since my hatch has some really bad rust issues in all quarters and the areas underneath the edge of the door. so yea he's had this hatch in non running condition for like 2 years now in his garage (spun rod bearing).

He originally wanted $1,000 for it and that was without rims/tires, without both front seats, and without the vtec head, intake and converted vtec harness. technically all i needed was a shell but i wasnt about to pay him that much when he was takin so much off of it. Today he calls me up and says he'll sell everything as is for $600 cause he really needs money asap to pay medical bills so i took him up on the offer. his loss is my gain

So this is what i got..

-A completely rust free in every area 1991 honda civic Si hatchback (minus front speakers lol)
-immaculate interior, seats are amazing. look new with no holes, tears, or worn spots
-2000 Si rims in awesome condition with brand new tires (less than 1,000 miles) $700 est.
-vtec sohc jdm head with dizzy and intake manifold and converted harness to work in the hatch not originally equipped with vtec . Est. $400+ (harness was nearly $300 alone to be professionally made)
-also came with a $175 set of those 3d type aftermarket taillights
-a stock d15 intake
-and a single 12" sub box lol

so yea all that for $600 :D now pics

so whadya think, i know im happy :D

Good deal. Wish i could find something like that. That sticker on the hatch is hideous though.

The rims and tires are worth at least $400 - $500 bux alone, not to mention that thing is clean as hell minus the interior paint. Glad to hear you raped your "Freind" cuz his misfortune needing money for medical bills is your gain. I wish I had a freind like you.

Yeah, the last set of Si's I got cost me $400 with crap tires. My best find was GSR six bar twisties with good tires for $425.

....I miss Texas...lived in Austin for 15 yrs and loved it.

Sweet car, I wish I could find a hatch in as good a shape as my CRX, I want the extra room without giving up the fun factor.

Really im surprised you could find Si wheels that cheap. ive been watchin on ebay for some time now and ive yet to see a decent set with moderately good tires go for cheaper then $600.

and yea im thinkin i'll be replacing the painted interior parts with the ones from the other hatch.

i'd love to go dohc but i dont have the money nor expertise to do it : ( im thinkin i'll just a mini me swap and be happy. i'd like to use the head i have from the old motor but its jdm and we had so much trouble trying to make it work right (which it never did) not to mention i dont know what the hell it is. the whole motor was shipped from a company in japan and the block is labeled D15B. so is it a d15b vtec head? ive never heard of such a thing lol. maybe you guys know
