Default car alarm w/ LCD remote

Hello,
I just bought my brand new 2007 civic ex today with 15 miles on it. I know it comes with an alarm, but I was wondering if I can get some good suggestions on an aftermarket security system w/ the lcd remote. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

go with any DEI (clifford, python, viper) alarm, they're definitly going to be the most reliable, plus they come with a lifetime warranty on the alarm brain if you have it professionally installed.

but check out the viper 791xv, I have it installed on my 07 sedan si and I LOVE IT, I also have an 03 lancer with the same python set-up and will never go without having a 2-way for my car.

Honestly dude, I have heard excellent things about compustar as well, I am just extremely familiar with DEI. One of my buddies swears by compustar and he definitly knows his stuff, but theres a lot of good product out there, just stay away from bulldog and code alarm

ok great, thank you all for the suggestions. i'll definitely have to check em out. as far as installation, i could trust Best Buy to do it right if i were to order an alarm system online and just bring it in?

It definitly sucks that no matter where you go you could get a bad installer or a good installer, It is all about finding someone you trust, kind of like a mechanic, but no matter where you go (circuit city, best buy, custom shops) you can find someone that either knows exactly what theyre doing, or you can find someone that knows how to install and is in it for the money, not the pleasure of installing.

I couldnt agree with you more! I installed at Circuit City for a couple of years and saw some good installs come out of my shop as well as some shitty ones (from the few part timers we had) I personally have had the best luck with any DEI product. Audiovox/Code is garbage is my opinion. Havent had too much interaction with Compustar.
