Check it for little cracks on the surface, get a new pilot bearing for sure, and I would just get it resurfaced at a machine shop.. I just got my last one back, it was like 30$ something and he had to grind it, it was quite bad. Pretty cheap investment considering I got it free. Make sure not of the teeth are messed up and you should be fine.

Well if it looks good then GIVVER and slap it in. Although I would clean it up shiny first haha Personally I would still take it to the shop, just becasue I know the guy and get good deals haha, but I would just get them to look at it and see what they say, better safe the sorry, best to have a nice even perfect surface for a new clutch.

I think he's trying to sell his trans to the OP because he mentioned something about a 600 dollar problem...

Well, it's obvious the OP has a b-series car. So why would the newbie try to sell him d-series stuff?
