Default Help: Car has been bucking and shutting off

Sort of new to the forums, do not flame please.

The motor is a d16z6. Car starts up fine, however very few moments after idling fine, the car will buck a little (try to stay on) and just shut off, the speedometer is jumping and the rpm as well. This also happens after driving around, only difference is the car bogs out and completely shuts off and I'm stuck until i stop and turn it on again.

So far at idle, the car does not throw a cel, however it does come on when it starts dying.

Ive been told it could be my fuel pump or anything related.

Any ideas guys?

first off try and catch that check engine light, it will give you atleast a direction to go.

or check your fuel filter or timing

yes

and the CEL only comes on as the car shuts off does not blink or anything along with battery oil and just about every other light on the Gauge cluster, the car shows no cel at startup or when running

Tried that

The light cuts on every time the car bogs and tries to stay alive,
when it normalizes, light goes away.

when it dies, light goes away, only thing blinking when checking for code is airbag

They are pretty old, someone else told it could be a vacuum leak somewhere, if the car is not throwing cel

Car is still bucking, another symptom is every time it bucks the gauge cluster flashes, airbag, cel, seat belt, everything. It happens a lot in low idle, not so much between 2-4k rpm, and happens after 4k, but not as bad in low idle.

Car is still not throwing cel,

Check your main ground, I had that problem with my Civic once, when it would die the rpm, speedometer would jump around like crazy. Turned out to be the main ground, ecu getting no power then power making it go crazy.
