low idle w/ A/C on
sometimes (not all the time) while idling with the A/C on, the engine will come down to what looks like 300 or 400 RPMs. at this speed, the engine is struggling to stay running and it bucks back and forth a bit.
does anyone have an idea of how to increase the idle speed while the A/C is on? maybe bump it up to 1000 or so? i'm good with circuitry and electronics, so if anyone knows how to increase the idle, i'm pretty sure i can make it happen only when the A/C is on.
btw, i'm not looking for answers like 'just step on the gas a little bit' or 'don't use your A/C', so please keep those to yourself. thank you.

I had the same problem when my alternator started to go bad. The problem spread to not being in ac as well. The problems will get worse and its probably best to get your alternator checked. I was told that its your alternator not being able to handle the load as well as it used to. Good luck.

you can adjust idle by turning the flathead tb screw in for lower and out for higher idle

yeah, 750 is what acura says they should idle at. i'll put my DMM on the alternator and battery. i'll play with the idle screw as well. i thought during idle, air just passed through a hole that bypasses the throttle opening/door. is there a screw that enters that hole that allows more or less air to pass through?

Never adjust that screw, its adjusted from the factory to where it should be. You would only be hiding the problem by turning that screw you owuld not be fixing anything.

well somtimes you need to atually adjust that screw for swaps to idle perfect
and 750 isnt much diffrence aslong as not over a 1k i am fine with that

It is there to adjust air flow to the idle air control valve. You move it to set the idle. Some different set ups require you to adjust the idle accordingly. Honda recommends you adjust it every 90 or 100k (can't remember which) with that very screw. So yeah, it is set from the factory, but over time or with set up changes it will require adjustment. Don't believe me? Check the manual.
ha thanks for that, but your manual also tells you to change your oil every 6k miles under normal driving, so why dont you start doing that and get back to me. The manual works for normal people that drive the car normaly and use it as a tool to get from one place to the next. As soon as you start to modify the car it becomes a toy, and if you are going to put money into aftermarket performance parts to improve the performance of the car why wouldnt you put money into keeping it in perfect operation condition? The reason you are sapposed to adjust it after 100k is because of carbon, slugde and other things that build up in your engine over time with normal driving causing the car to perform differenty that the first day it was baught. So instead of adjusting teh screw like grandma and grandpa might do, look for and fix the problem causing it to idle low
