Default Megan Exhaust Drift Spec Question!

Hey guys, installing the drift spec exhaust for my 92 civic HB B16 today. Can't wait to hear how it sounds but the looks are nice. I had a question for those who already have this exhaust. Their are 3 parts to the exhaust, from front to back, the part that connects to the cat PART 1, then S bend pipe PART 2, and the last pipe that sticks out the back PART 3. Is there a reason that the last pipe PART 3 and the S pipes Part 2 CONNECTION is not 2.5 inch also? I called the company and they say it is for clearence issues, not sure how making the connection 2 inches would help with clearence... maybe someone knows what they mean and can explain it to me.

(((((CAT))))))) (((((((((((((((((((((Long streight pipe PART 1)))))))))))))))))))))
((((((((((S Bend PART 2))))))))))))+ THIS CONNECTION SLIMS DOWN TO ABOUT 2 INCHS +((((((((((((((((Pipe out the back of the car PART 3)))))))))))))))

Hope you like my advanced drawing!
Any info will help out.
Thanks, Chris

that would be the reason why megan catbacks are $300 and a good catback like apex or buddy club is $500+
