Default new pix of the 6

just lowered the front 2.5,the back 1.5.new smoked screen, removed all the stickers and painted mid fairing flat black, switching b/t d&d and hindle high mount factory pro velocity stacks,k&n air filter, and pcIII.

not sure which exhaust to go with,i like the d&d but the hindle is pretty quiet but to flashy, plus my wife cant ride with the hindle

Nice DA
Eh, never been a fan of D&D, their pipes are just so damn loud and don't sound good (IMO), and the Hindle can looks huge. The bike looks better with the D&D though. Out of curiosity, why the need to lower the bike?

Man, having the fork tubes stick up that high past the handle bars looks weird. Whatever floats yer boat.

i dont' know anyone that can ride a bike to "IT'S full potential" maybe YOUR full potential... someone will always push the limits farther and farther it's endless and when you meet the asphalt that's when you know you crossed that fine line and learn the moral of the story.... bike always wins when you think you "mastered" your bike..

all in all respect your bike and your limits

You don't have to ride the bike very hard to notice 2.5" less clearance.

well, the da needed to go like a yr ago,i havent driven it much the past yr.the d&d is loud but for my personal pleasure, its kinda like being a saftey purpose.drivers seem more aware of me when they hear the d&d,not to mention,my seat of my pants dyno felt like the d&d made more power.

the reason the bike was lowered:the bike was a straight pain to ride in traffic!the owners of r'6's will altest to this.the lack of tq makes changing lanes useless unless you actually get on throttle pretty hard which in tandem, reving my bike up with the mellow mods would make it come up to easy rendering a saftey hazard to me.

as far as riding the bike to its full potential, who actually knows full potential??im not concerned with the bikes full potential, just mine.i ride moderately, but becuase i am in the marines,my command(and tricare insurance) stritcly prohibits me from riding a motorcycle, fourwheeler, jet ski or any recreational vehical to a standard where if i was injured becuase of neglect,my insurance wont cover it and my command will seek some good punishment for me

thanx for all the replys.ps anybody want the da

of course theres a lack of torque its a inline 4, 600cc bike, so u lowered your bike so when u get on the throttle it wont come up, sounds like u just need more practice with throttle control

ok,im way to mature for this pissing contest,it has nothing to do with throttle response, the bike ran extremely rough and regardless how i rode the bike,it was just unmanagable.same way with everybody that rode my bike.

bottem line is,its lowered,i love it,looks good to me,and its my bike!
please keep the negative comments minute,if you dont like it,move on and stop trying to get your post count up

if you must know,1985 was when i rode my first bike,z50,then a ct70,then next yr
upgraded to xr80,then i tooted around on that for a few yrs,got a xr100,then a
yz80,kx80,kdx 80,and then i lost intrest.when i turned 16,i got a xr500 rode that
for a nice minute,,that same yr i picked up a nighthawk 250(actually borrowed
from a relative)and since then i havent really owned much with 2 wheels,b/t the
military and wife and children,i dont have time for much.heck,i dont even ride this
bike,i had it since sept and only put about 1xxx miles on it.the liability really isnt
worth it so i spend all my free time riding my fourwheeler or fishing and hunting.
so ive been riding dirtbikes for about 22yrs,and if you want to be technical, the ct70 is street legal ,but seriously, this is my second streetbike aand ive been riding those for 11 yrs

Damn, keep this bike in good condition for me, would you? I'm gonna be looking for an '05 R6 within the next 2 years or so, when I'm in SC. Keep in touch!
