Default 89 honda civic b series exhaust question

I have an 89 civic with a b18b. I have 4-2-1 2 peice header. The aftermarket exhaust that was on the car no longer fits. Its about 4-5 inches to long. It will not allow me to bolt the downpipe of the header to the exhaust. The aftermarket exhaust has a test pipe welded to it.I plan on ordering a buddy club spec 2 exhaust pretty soon. I need to know if there is a test pipe I can order so that I can bolt the whole exhaust system up without having to have anything welded.

I think you are SOL.. Easiest is to cut and weld. Muffler shop will charge you a lot less then buying a new exhaust

fyi, not all muffler shops in calif will do custom exhaust repair especially if you don't have a CAT. Not sure if they have the same policy in Nevada...by looking at your sig.

I really wanted that buddy club exhaust but I may end up just having a muffler shop weld one up for me.

So let me get this straight, if your catback exhaust doesnt fit on your hybrid swap, you can just go to a muffler shop and they'll cut/trim and weld to make it fit on the OEM hangars? How much does it usually cost?

depends on the place.

i had an issue with length and flange direction and i paid a guy $70 cash to throw it up on the lift and change the length a tad and flip the flange over.

its really hard to say since you could get taken for a ride pricewise almost anywhere you go, you know?

I need a midpipe done for my crx. the guy looked at the car without lifting it on the lift and told me that if he uses his 2.5 inch pipe and his flanges, depending on how many bends he has to make its 75-125

i supplied the muffler/tips and the exhasut place charged me 200 for the cutting bending and welding that they needed to do for an entire exhaust from the manifold back.

i think that guy in Ny paid a little bit too much for what he had done, but thats just me.
