Default Installed Apexi WS2 universal on my 07 sedan SI (pix and vids up now!)

So today I dropped by the shop to do my 2.5" piping from my race header all the way to my Universal Apexi WS2 muffler....the car souds great at idle but damn when I gunned it...it was freakin loud as hell...I'm going to take some pictures and record some sound vids tomorrow...then put back on the stock exhaust cause I'm sure the exhaust will get me into trouble...Rides GREAT though...I'm pleased with the 2.5" piping...hopefully I wont lose that power when I put back on the stock muffler.

------------

I uploaded pictures and videos of my SI...check it out ...too bad I had to put back on the stock muffler...it still sounds nice though...real ricey! ahaha. Whatchall think? I hope to do a dyno sometime soon.

Mods: I/RH/2.5" piping/Reflash

I think if you through a resonator in there somewhere it would take away the raspiness. looks clean though.

Exactly.....put a nice 12" resonator in, it would deepen the sound too.

No,
because Apexi's website indicates that universal WS mufflers are straight thru design. Apexi WS car specific systems are not straight thru design.

I think it'll sound good if you get a resonator on there, otherwise it sounds kinda hollow and raspy aka ricey.

Yea I have a World Sport full exhaust system on my car, and it sounds awesome as hell with the resonator. Low and throaty. No rasp.

If you have the model specific application then you have a chambered muffler and not a straight through muffler like the universal World Sport the original poster has.

I have a WS1 for a 6th gen accord, it's straight through.

I think it's the race header. I'm running 2.5" but with a stock muffler and stock header and it sounds great.

try http://www.performancepeddler for a resonator. Try to match up the same size as the piping to not disrupt airflow. a 12-18" resonator should help a lot. Just make sure it's not a cheap packing like Cherry Bombs.

So 1 question.

Can you just get the muffler and use your original piping and still get the + on performance? Or do you need to get new piping like "tzang"?

Sup Killyourscene. I didn't get to time my car with the aftermarket muffler but with the 2.5" piping and stock muffler I dynoed 199hp and ran a 14.6 1/4 mile. I'm not even sure if the aftermarket muffler would have done any difference. But who knows...maybe I woulda hit 200hp and hit 14.5! haha.
