Default DA air conditioning question

well i just picked up a DA about a week ago now and was told the AC worked but needed recharged

recently started fiddleing with it, and it seems like the blower motor is going out on it to me

i turn the switch all the way and the engine bogs down a little like normal when the AC goes on, but i get no air out of the vents at all

is there anyway i can check to be 100% sure?

You should be able to hear whether the blower fan is on or not, it is just above the passengers feet. If the fan isn't coming on, you can check the fuses. If the blower fan fuse is fine, then you can try to spray some PBblaster lubricant into the fan motor via the small black hose on the bottom of the unit. This might free the motor up if it is ceized up. Of course, if the fan does start to work, it will stink for a day or two till the smell goes away.

im in the same boat as you. I turn my ac crap on and nothing comes outta the vents, but it blows on my feet perfectly fine, would that be my box or a fuse maybe?

I had a similar problem, but my blower wouldn't turn on on setting #1.
Turned out that my blower resister took a crap. Its a $23 part and is practically "plug-in-play".

When I took out the old part, I found out that one resister wire had come apart.
Its totally ridiculous. It looks like three trash bag tie wires without the plastic covering. Each wire is twisted into a loose coil and then covered with a strip of ceramic like goo.

The ceramic-like goo eventually crumbles and the resister wire corrodes and becomes brittle.
