Info for those w/ modded harness and initial no start w/ MSD distributor
Ok, in case this happens to you. Car I'm working on no longer has internal coil or ignitor. The blk/yel wire in the harness to the distributor was removed as a result and used to power the ign box. Car ran fine, switch to MSD distributor, no start, no sync, no rpm signal. The MSD distributor uses hall sensors which need power to work unlike the Honda reluctors. Long story short, the MSD dizzy needs power at that blk/yel wire pin in order to output a signal on the three sensors. Just in case this happens to someone else. That is all.
