HELP with type r header
help i have a type r header and and the flang on that is ******* huge my mid pipe is off a 97 ex what mid pipe will i need and will my muffler still bolt up help me need my car on the road asap
You should be able to find a 2 1/2" ball flange at a hardware store exhaust shop might even have one. I would use an Omnipower test pipe simply because its clockable and extendable.
I don't know if the US GSR's or Type R's use the 2.5 collector or not, don't see too many stock ones floating around, my guess would be no because US is considered 2.25" and JDM is considered 2.5".

The Omnipower pipe is clockable to fit the flange, you don;t have to panic about it being too short or it clocking the wrong way. It will bolt up to a factory style exhaust, or replacement exhaust with a similar three bolt pattern as factory. If you had a catalyst on your midpipe, then the Omnipower pipe will work just fine.
i just went to my exhaust shop and i got brand new 2 1/2 inch piping.
sounds much better just get it all the way back ull be happy.
i want to know a question after the cat does it matter how much bigger the piping is.
