Can someone clear up the following questions for me? I've researched exhaustively online for the past few days trying to garner some answers, but I keep on getting different opinions.

-What parts come with the J's racing CRX kit? And where can I order it?

-Did Spoon ever release a body kit for the CRX other than the front lip & Aero Mirrors?

-Did 5zeigen or Abbey Road ever release a Body kit ?

-Does the Chargespeed kit only consist of the front lip?

 

while we're on the subject, who makes this one???

correct me if i'm wrong, but spoon never made parts for a crx.


what you are seeing are replicas, right? parts taken from an EG and another company modifying the design to work on the crx.

 

the picture is of hte Xenon 90-91 crx front lip

its only a front lip and it goes over top of about half of the front bumper.

there is a different one for the 88-91 front bumper.

spoon never made any crx body parts that i know of, the "spoon" crx front lip is only a copy from an eg or whatever, there is no such thing as a spoon crx front lip.

im pretty sure chargespeed was also only a front lip.

but that link above with the xenon front lip, xenon makes side skirts and rear lip for the crx.

j's racing only makes a front lip, but they also sell fender flares.

that image was taken from an online auction in japan, that is a jdm kit, notice the wrap around sidemarkers.

i was looking for more information on it, i remember those usdm xenon kits, thats a bit different.

 

i found the auction page for the chargespeed front lip:

and i backed up the image so it wont get lost:

 

the wrap around signals have nothing to do with the front lip, the lip starts below the signals.

all that is is the xenon front lip for the 90-91 crx on a jdm front bumper, no real secret.

 

now i see it.

i don't know why i just like it, weird bc i normally hate kits.

 

its even more of a bonus because its made with polyurethane, which is flexible and will never chip or crack or anything.

expensive though, almost 900$ for the kit on that website? damn

based on the part numbers at least they give all four sides for that price, but that is a bit steep.

 

Can one of the mods add this thread to the FAQ? I think I am going to make this into a comprehensive list so that future users might find it useful.

J's racing kit (EF8, EF9, and the CRX with Civic front end)







From my understanding (and just by looking at the pictures) the J's racing kits include: Front lip/bumper (includes canards), Side skirts, rear bumper, over fenders, vented hood and wing.

Can someone clarify if the hood can clear a k20?

While not in 'production' anymore, you can call head office in Japan and they will produce the kit for you. A&J Racing will not order the kit, and the nice man in Japan didn't understand me enough to quote for price. Wait time is 3-6 months.

 

that black car has just the red lip on it, but that yellow one is a fully custom front bumper cover, you can tell by how its shaped under the turn signals, unless its some type of overlay and then they molded it.

but it also has no center molding either.

i love that white lip on the white ZC front.

they are all pretty tasteful, and don't ruin the lines of the car imho.
