is blended base/clear coat paint good??
well im gettin my car shot for 1000 and its gonna be two base coats then the final will be a mixed base and clear blended together...will this shine just as good and as long as shooting the clear coat seperately?? i heard i cant buff it out either after to take off the orange peel and what not...is this also true??
That sounds retarded. Single stage can be wet sanded and buffed but it really doesnt make much sense. If you want a really nice pro finish thats been cut and buffed base / clear is the way to go. That method you described sounds half ***.
would it be cheaper if i get my own paint and clear?? and just pay them to shoot it?? cause he was saying something as in what they get comes in a whole package..and for cheaper
is du-point paint good?? this one auto body supply store can mix the color i want for me...or what is a good brand name paint...is there differences between them?? if so, what would they be?? i really want my car to have a nice shine for years to come

I actually use Dupont at my new job. I am really a PPG fan and have used it since I first started. Both are good but I just love the way PPG shines and sprays. Dupont's clear seems to be thinner as to PPG is kinda thick. Like I said before, I shoot Dupont at work but for my own cars I use PPG
