B20z swap into a '93 SI
Ok, the motor I'm putting in...because it's cheap.
I need to know what all I'll need to just make it driveable. Not looking to race or boost or anything, just get around between stereo competitions, picked up the b20 cheaper than any d16 I could find.
I know I will need a wiring harness and ecu since it doesn't ocme with one, and motor mounts. For the ecu, what should I go with? From what I've read in forum searches I got the impression of p75? The motor is from a 2000 crv.
Will my d series tranny work with the motor? Or should I just start hitting up the local junk yards to try to find a decent tranny, harness and ecu all at one stop?
Do you guys have any tips or anything that will make this swap go smoother? It's my daily driver and I need to get it up and running asap.

try to find a b20b itll make it easier on u since its obd1 already! then it would basically be a bolt in affair along with a p75 ecu.
Ok, thanks for the input, I ended up getting a b18b1 complete engine, so I may end up putting that in...or just selling it and getting another d16 since I got this engine so cheap and putting the rest of the money in to my monte carlo.

lol, that made my day. I'm guessing its a mid-80's or older with a highly modified V8, not a teal '95 heavy V6 POS that I'm picturing.
The B18/B20 will require a different ecu if you want to do it right ($50-100ish), a different trans ($200-500), axles ($50-350), and a different rear engine mount ($50). Its a big difference from a D16 though in terms of the power.

When you say complete engine, do you mean just the engine by itself? As for wiring, your stock SI harness will work with the b18B. I put one in my 93 EX, which has the same wiring harness as the SI, and everything plugged right in, except for the vtec plugs (obviously.) Just take the vtec plugs and zip tie them out of the way for now. Nice thing about that is the fact that if you ever go back to vtec, the plugs are still there. For the ECU, definatley get a 92-95 integra LS ECU.
LoL It's a '73, metallic blue, white landau top and white pin stripes on the front and back quarter panels, she's hot ****.
By complete engine I meant everything from intake, exhaust, fuel rail, the only thing it's missing is the distributor, and I grabbed the ecu while I was there. The problem is that I've only got like, 700 bucks to put towards getting the damn thing running, and I can't even find a tranny for that, much less axels, distributor and mount.
Another quick question...are the axels different on automatic and manuals? I could probably run back out to missouri and get the axels from the car I got the engine from, but wasn't sure if they would work since it was an automatic and didn't want to put the money in to something that might not end up even working.

also b20z=B20B same thing and is also just as easy to put in as a b18b and yes automatic axles and intermediate shaft are the same as 5 speed ones
How about shift linkage? Just trying to cover all my bases and try to get as much stuff from the same place as I can. What little I know says it would be the same, but hell you guys know more than me and easier to ask than make the mistake.
yes you will need shift lingage from a 5spd 94-01 Integra if you can't find any of those at the junkyard then the 90-93 box integra one will work but
