I did a HID retrofit onto my 99-00 civic headlights. The problem is, theres this glare coming from behind the shrouds that kind of bug me. Theyre not that big of a deal, but I just want to get rid of it so its just not always there to bug me.

Heres some pics. Where the blue part is, is where the annoying little glare comes from. Anyone know what i can use to cover that part up? Maybe some kind of material or something? Any ideas would help



Also, anyone know what that white thing is around this guys projector is? I tried pm'ing him but he hasnt responded and its been a while, so im assuming he doesnt use HT anymore or something. Id like to find out what that part is or if he made it because that thing would take away that annoying glare problem i have with my retrofit.

The plastic thing is most likely just PCV, cut and trimmed to fit.

I would suggest doing just that, find something that is sorta heat resistant and and cut and trim till it fits.

Many people have used different things as a shroud. Nescafe bottles, eschusion boxes (chrome plumbing piece), whatever you can find that works/looks cool.

Then you can paint it any color you want.

By the way, HIDplanet.com is a MUCH better site when it comes to HID stuff!!!

 

take a pop can and trim it the way you need. the inside of the can is shiny so it will blend in...and it will stand up to the temp. unlike any plastic.
