Default First Mod?

I just got my RSX-S and it came with the CAI and the Type R **** which took care of the first mods I wanted to do so that was pretty cool but I wanted to see what everyones first mod(s) to their DC5 was. I'm thinking my first is going to be the Type R wing but let me know what you guys did for your first mod(s) just to get some ideas.

Lower it. Tein S tech's imo are the best as far as springs alone go.

1. intake
2. sidemarkers
3. torqe damper
4. bc header

Its up to you what u want to do. i rather have performance first. you can't have the looks if you can't back it up - In my opinion

Forget the wing. Spend your money on speed. IMHO, the DC5 looks best either wingless, or with a small lip spoiler like on the 05-06.

My first mods are going to get installed shortly.

JDM is my thing and has been since my friend Will Saxon got his DC2 and he taught me alot but now that I finally got a car, planning on what I want to do to it is tough, but I want to go for the JDM ITR look but as far as engine mods go I have been looking around but I only have around 300 bucks right now and that is probably going to the wing cause thats a mod I know 99.9% I want cause I'm not a big fan of wingless cars but I'm thinking a Greddy EVO2 cause I like the way they sound and look but if I had the $ to spend i'd consider the T1R exhaust but as for suspension goes I dont know anything about it so I have alot of reading to do in that department......so those are just the ideas that are floating around for now and thanks for the ideas

from what i've read here on the forum about ride height on the DC5's..don't go lower than 1.5 - 1.7 inches..mine right now is probably lowered more than 2 inches ( i'm on skunk2 coilover sleeves)..and the handling is garbage..it's the way the front suspension on the DC5's are made that they decrease in handling when lowered more than a certain height..if you're going to go that low..you're going to have to basically custom build almost the whole suspension system...i myself, in the near future am planning to raise the car again fill the wells with 17 inch rims and fill the exterior look with a lip kit..i will admit though, to me, slammed DC5's do look nice

dint waste your money on springs just save up for some full coilovers. in my experience shortly sfter you drop your car on springs yours shocks will blow and your rear end will sag and your car will look like trash

For sure go with the GReddy Evo 2 Exhaust sounds clean and deep. I have Evo 1 and a friend of mine has Evo 2 both sound really good.

i got a shift **** too ... lol ... i say if your not out to look ricey and want more performance ... do your basic bolt-ons ... intake (cold air or short ram), exhaust (axle back or just cat-back), clutch and flywheel, torque damper (really need this one), tires, all major suspension parts, pulley kit, etc.

1 sticky tires. If you have an '05+, Advan Neova in 215/45-17.
2 rear bar
3 slightly slot the strut clamp holes for more negative camber and align
4 stainless lines, pads and fluid; remove the front backing plates and wrap the ball joint and tie rod end to protect them from radiation
5 fill the front and rear engine mounts with 3M Window Weld
6 driving instruction and seat time

Handling turns to shyte if you lower it more than about an inch. Been there, came back.

Not a DC5, but the first real mod on my EP3 was Mugen suspension.

For "All show, No Go" you can't be wrong with Type-R wing. Otherwise, lower it or get CAI if you plan to stay NA. Good luck.

yeah I have been looking around for some type r lips, side skrits, rear lip, but man I'd rather just buy a knock off instead of paying 500 bucks each for them so if their are any good sites where I can find a good deal on some let me know and for now I want to just get the CAI, Headers, and exhaust and then I see what my plans are after that and I definently want to lower it but not sure what to get

i would do suspension first, some sort of full-coilover setup. i personally love my buddyclub N+'s and theyre not that expensive (about $1100+/-).
