Default does the brand of frame sliders matter?

Hey guys I just got my first bike, a 2000 yzf600r. I wanted to invest in frame sliders cuz I'm teh n00b and I was wondering if the brand matters. I found some cheap ones on ebay and was debating whether I should buy these or get a name brand like vortex or something, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

inputs? thanks

Either will work fine. As long as the bolt isn't plastic or something haha.

to me brand matters. Ultimately you get what you pay for. I've got the factory suzuki sliders on my SV which are known to shatter on impact and basically not do their job. The motosliders for the SV are the s3x and do a way better job.

most common problems w/sliders are when the bolt breaks or if someone's using those sliders that don't require cutting out your fairs, they bend or break at the extension plate which are usually aluminum.
