I was wondering the same thing...but I thought if you have the right slicks and the right amount of power, stock axles are ok...

nah, they are very strong. I've seen a 10 second hatch with even a gsr engine and ran stock axles with slicks and never broke on them. I wouldn't replace 'em until they break, but i'm sure you'll be fine even going into the 10's if u ever were there

Axles are not horsepower adders - they are piece of mind. You upgrade to stronger axles when you have higher power motors so you dont snap axles when launching, etc.
