Hey, I just got a 93 and i wanted to put AC in it. i know its a lot of work and a lot of money, but i have the skills and money to do it. Can someone point me out to a DIY link or something? I've tried searching but havent been able to come up with much.

damn i want to know to.....well i know you have to intall a radator, fan, lines, and condenser, belt,and in your dash you have to change some black box for the ac also bump for some help!!!

 

alright i did it. i bought a ac changeover kit from the local dismantler.

came with

lines
dryer
condensor w/ fan
ac compressor
evaporator
belt
relays for the fans.

installation is relatively straight forward.

its like a puzzle. look at all the lines put them in the right order on the ground and start installing the compressor tensioner belt dryer and on with the lines. on the inside you will need to remove the glove box (2 screws under the glovebox) then the reinforcment bar. then your car should have a little vent box u can see. take that out with 3 scews then you will have room for the evaporter box. install the evaportor box and make sure it sits flush to the firewall on the other side. install the grommit and the lines. vacuum your system tp 29.9 or as close to that as your can get in inhg. make sure u change the o rings too.

 

93's are r-12. Unless you convert over to r-134a but I wouldnt if at all possible.
