Default Using a Type R oil pump on a B series engine?

Can I use an oil pump from a B18C5. Type R engine and use on a B18A1 Engine?

The car is a 90 Integra LS.

I am not going to do the changes but a shop will do it.

I just want to make sure it will work with no problem.

Thanks

Yes .. It will work, only problem will be you have to hack up your lower timing cover,
because the obd2 pumps are larger, because of the crank sensor.

But that isn't much either, so it's not a big deal.

I Think You Might Have To Change Your Timing Belt To GSR.

The water pump decides which timing belt to use, not the oil pump. And all GSR, LS, or ITR oil pumps are the same from 96 up. And the trimming on the lower timing cover is very minimal, you will see the little protrusion at the very bottom of the cover that will need to be cut or ground off.

I thinking more, and more that the 96 oilpump statement is untrue,
I even said it was though once, before I saw a 95, and 96 ls pump that are exactly the same.

It might be more up in the latter years, such as 98, or 99 that they are all the same.
