rod knock is the crank still good?

i have a car with a bad motor guy said the rod was knocking badly. so is the crank and rod shot? or can it be reused?

Pull it apart and find out. Thats the only real way to know.

Yup. You don't know the extent o the damage unless you pull the crank and measure it.
