see i told javi ^^ that it wouldn't fit.. I thought i saw a thread where satan_srv, tried to take the m2b4 lsd and put it in the m2f4 tranny. if i remember his post correctly he had to shim the **** out of it and it still wouldn't fit right.. maybe i have my facts wrong.

It may be that it had to be shimmed a lot and is slightly funky, but it does work. (and has for about 10k now after brand new bearings)

This is jeremy lookofsky's old trans, so god knows where he had it built.

the lsd in the pic above is NOT from a jdm m2b4, or at least not one i have ever seen. the jdm trans uses a clutch type lsd much different from what is pictured above and it will NOT fit in a usdm case. believe me i have owned several dozens of jdm and usdm h22 trans and all of them were the same w/ the jdm's using a clutch type lsd.

Wow, I never heard of Honda using CLSD's. I thought all of them were Helical like the one pictured. Do you have any pics of a Honda CLSD, that would be something to see? I also don't know of any USDM Preludes or Accords that had LSD options

I KNEW it! , thanks missing gears for verifying that. I could find the old post where satan_srv ran into the same thing, but i was sure that they weren't interchangable

Pirate has some pics of an m2b4 lsd that looked like it could be a clutch type. It looked like it might be sealed so the assumption was that it was a clutch type.

thats right, its a sealed unit and the ring gear bolt pattern is different as well as the overall size of the unit.

so what the hell kind of diff you got mgags? what other cars had available lsd? euro-r maybee? whatever it is, you say it fits in a usdm non lsd case which is why im wondering if any usdm models of prelude ever came w/ optional lsd.

I have no idea what it is....lol.

I mentioned the Accord type R and the japanese 5th gen prelude SiR-s spec as other h series cars with LSDs in them. Maybe it is one of those.
