To be 100% honest I've never heard anything good about these clutches, although I have never used one myself. Personally i would just save up for a good name brand clutch such as action, act, or exedy. Also if the car isn't going to see any serious track time I'd go with a sprung hub clutch, (usually called a stage 1), to avoid unecessary chatter.
i have a 6-puck sprung clutch from XTD in my turbo civic that i bought cuz my friend had a regular (i guess stage one) clutch from them and it was working out good...it handles 300whp easily with no slipping....for around 12000-13000 miles now i have no problems and i've been beating the **** out of it....it's seen 8800 rpm a few more times than i can count...
so far so good though, for the money i can't complain at all

my friend had one in his turbo hatch and it slipped like hell, right from the start. stage 3 6 puck.. and my other buddy got a stage 4 supposedly for his talon and that slipped like CRAZY from the first mile..
IMO, xtd sucks.. save some more money and buy a name brand clutch and forget about it, do it right the first time

got an xtd stage 3 6 puck.
i have random clutch engagement.
sometimes it grabs low when releasing the clutch pedal, sometimes higher up.
hard as hell to drive.
i didnt buy it, it came with my motor/tranny. but i wont be putting another one of those in when i replace my clutch.

exedy is good..u guys are probably just checkin out the OEM replacement clutch that's why the price is low for exedy..check out stage 1 and u'll see how much of a price differet it is compare to OEM replacement..they go around $200 for exedy stage 1. F1 are just like xtd.

ughhhh....if it slipped from the first mile, THATS WHY....you have to BREAK IN A CLUTCH LMAO...omg people.....Like i said in another thrread...ive got friends who have used them, NO PROBLEMS at all. Break the ******* clutch in for 500miles and there is no problem, and also get your flywheel resurfaced, that cost hardly anything.

Yeah just make sure to break it in and it should be fine. I bought one cheaper than that off ebay and it worked fine on a 350hp b16. I ran in to some problems but thats because the flywheel didnt get tightened like it should of. Didnt slip a bit, much better than stock.
i have been using the xtd stage 3 for over two years now and it slipped a little when i got to around the 500 miles, but now it doesn't slip anymore. i,m happy with it. i'm probably around 250whp. i resurfaced the stock flywheel and did the 500 mile breakin. what i noticed is that it chatters but i heard that all 6 puck chatters. i'll up my boost soon to make about 300whp. i'm sure it will hold it cause i'll prob. have ~200tq. if it slips then i'll buy a name brand this time.
Just stick to an exedy and make sure you do everything else that needs to be done. Resurface the flywheel/replace it with a light weight one, pilot bearing if needed, and anything else that may need to be done while you are down there. You'll thank yourself later.
