car stalls
My wife has a 2001 civic ex that has been running without any mayor inconveniences since new but about a couple of weeks ago we took her car to visit some friends that live about a hundred miles away and the last 15 miles or so are uphill. After a very steep part of the road ( had to shift to 2 gear ) the car stalled and turned himself off as if overheated but the temp was fine. After a while and several attempts we managed to start the car and get to our friends. Since then, my wife tells me the car has done the same thing three more times within the city limits and all she did was wait awhile and start the car. Of course, at the shop they say there's nothing wrong with the car. What's going on? Help!
how many miles?
have u been doing regular matience?
how many miles on your since your last oil change?
any codes?
have u verified that your temp guage actually works? I know it probably starts off cool, and raises to a constant driving temp, but i have seen it before ( in my CRX) when the car will actually overheat but the guage wont move up.

I've checked everything, believe me. Her car has about 50 thousand miles but I try to keep the maintenance as scheduled in the book.
The only code it throws before stalling (according to my wife ) is the check engine light. I'm really lost.
