I just picked up an glovebox from someone for my EG hatch, but realized that I don't have that rail (the silver one that you need to mount the glovebox, and has the black strut on it). I wonder, is this universal? Because I know there are two 4-door Civics at the junk yard, but NO hatches. I know the gloveboxes themselves are different, but what about this rail?

wouldn't hurt to just take one off at the junk yard and try it out for yourself. Probably shouldn't cost that much... seriously.
