Default Installing an aftermarket radio/head unit... no more keyless entry?

I heard that if you install an aftermarket head unit in a 98-2000 Civic that you lose both the keyless entry feature and the interior light. If this is true, is there any way around that?

Actually yes it is true you'll lose keyless unless you use a special adapter harness for your stereo. Lame Honda designed some of the circuitry for keyless to go into the stock radio. On cars like the DX/CX it's no problem but EX/Si that have the extra electronic goods from the factory it makes a difference. Look on Ebay, you can get the harness you need which lets you put your factory radio behind the console with power going into it to keep your accessories active but the speakers and stuff will be wired to the new radio. They are only about $20 and you needed an adapter of some kind anyways.
