B16a hasport Shift Linkage??
I am currently putting in my B16a innto my 90 Civic DX HB. I came across a problem with the bushing (where it connects to the tranny). Hasports did not come with one and my old one doesnt fit. Which bushing am I supposed to use? Probly an integra? What yaer?
Thanks
Thanks
order some energy suspension shifter bushings for a 90-91 integra. http://www.summit.com has em for about 15 bucks
any bushing from any B-series tranny will work. integra, del sol, anything. but don't get the poly's, that bushing is soft for a reason. heheee. plus, you'll need 2 metal plates to go with them. about 25 bucks at the acura or honda dealer.
I was about to do the same thing almost. I had some radiater hose I was going to use. Surprisingly it fits nicely into the ring of the linkage but i still need a bolt or something to bolt into the tranny (RIGHT???)
i just got to that stage today in my swap. my motor came with the JDM linkage so i just used the bushing in that and put it into the hasport linkage. then i used a large washer and it seems fine

I had the same problem when I got my swap. So I ordered the bushing, 2 washers and the bolt from acura, total cost about $23. Then later when I bought my ENERGY SUSPENSION bushing kit, I replaced it with the poly one. Tell them at the dealer you want to see a picture of the shift linkage setup for a 95 integra. you can just pick the parts you will need, thats what I did.

Just a little note on the washer deal....
I know this is GHETTO but it will work and possibly help someone someday. You can use the end of a Coca-Cola can the bottom and punch a hole in it and there you go you have a "perfect" size washer. I have had atleast 2 friends who have had to do this on there cars. It works great Hell they used them for like 2-4 months before they even got the right washer. So I just thought I would let you guys in on that lil piece of INFO.
