Default P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Efficiency

I think this is the one covered by the honda 150k warranty but my car is beyond that now.

I'm assuming this is either one of the O2 sensors or the cat itself and other than testing each of the 2 O2's for proper functioning, is there anything else that can be done? It sometimes goes a couple thousand miles before throwing the code, sometimes 100 miles so I'm not sure which is more likely the culprit.

What is the likely component that causes this or which was the reason honda extended it's emissions warranty?

Also, does disconnecting the battery really clear the CEL history or will they pick up on this when I take it in for emissions?

Thanks
