Anyone use or have thoughts on the AEBS intake manifold?
I got the Performance Products "Typhoon" intake manifold (designed with AEBS) and 65mm t/b which I'll be using on a JDM B16. Anyone know anything about how this manifold performs, and will the 65mm be too much for my setup? I just had it around here so I port-matched it to the manifold and put them both on. Haven't run it yet but wondering if anyone runs anything similar and how well it works (or doesn't...)
They make pretty substantial claims about this manifold on a stock ITR, I figured if it only gave me half that on mine it'd be worth the money.

there is a blox vs. s2 vs. aebs thread. search it, however, there is a lot of crap in the thread.
no one had any substantial claims. all opinions.
you're fine.

They definitely claimed alot more than that with the dyno they post on the company's website. Well hopefully it will do better for me since I'm replacing a stock B16 OBD1 manifold not a nice ITR one...
I did search out the old thread about the comparison of each, mostly just has people's opinions it seems, however despite the low price I must agree the casting quality is pretty bad and despite it having a 65mm opening like my t/b from the same company the bores didn't line up so I had to dremel it. I also had to taper & radius the t/b at the front inlet since it was like a 5mm wall all around, nice for disrupting the flow. I suppose if they perform well and save alot of money it's OK to do a little work on them. Had I known it would be ugly I'd have got the polished one though, or at that point gone with the Blox.

Rocket did a real nice AEBS manifold a few years ago. Stock block C5, full Rocket head, SMSP header and S200. Made ~238hp on a dynapack (I think it was Churches?)

Well that is OK, I mostly bought it because I needed to get rid of the OBD1 JDM manifold in favor of one that supported all the stuff I need to hook up in an OBD2 car, plus I didn't think the stock manifold would take a 65mm port for the t/b, maybe I'm wrong. Anyways it was cheap enough to just buy to try out! And with a B16 everyone knows you can use some more power all over the band...
