Default B20/Vtec

Has anyone built a stock bottom B20/vtec with a B16 head and ITR cams and had any problems?I heard that if you run any cam other than a gsr you mess up the pistons. Is it true? What do I have to do so that doesnt happen?

Why would you want to leave the bottom end stock, B20's got low cr, you don't want or need more aggressive cam than gs-r with cr so low. I am building a B20Z vtec, putting some 11.5 cr pistons, rods, (make sure you use arp rod bolts if you want it to last), gs-r head with full skunk2 valve train, should be making some nice power, I suggest you raise that compression

The reason why you shouldnt use cams any bigger than gsr is because the stock pistons on a b20 dont have enough valve relief .
