I currently have 2 10" Alpine Type E Subs in my old car.. Its time to put a new system into my accord..

I talked with a car audio salesman that i've known for awhile and he said maybe i should upgrade to geting a new sub... a JL audio W6.. which i think he said would go for around $320. Now of course, just from getting the sub i'd have to get a box...

Will making that switch help or hurt .. and will i even notice the difference between the sub switch or will I just feel it in the pocket?

If you are switching from the two 10's over to just 1 w6 and are looking for output, i think you will be a lil disappointed. The w6 is a great sub but its tough for one 10/12 to keep up with the two tens you already have. Given that you get a proper box the overall sound quality will probably be better but if you just want something bumpin i would stick with two subs.

look into Image Dynamics. great subs for more than fair prices.

 

The W6 is a SQ sub and is very responsive. One W6 may not be louder than the (2) 10s but I'm sure it'll sound a lot cleaner

 

I have a 12" JL Audio W3 in a box custom made for the W3 with a JBL 301.1 Amp and all the wiring needed for the install for sale for $425 obo. I had it in my EG before I did my swap, and it hits pretty damn hard for just one 12. And it is very clean like everyone says. If you are interested in this setup, let me know.
