Default Is 16k too much of an '03 EP3?

The dealer is asking 16K for a 2003 EP3. It is the blue color. Stock wheels and all stock. It has 30,000 miles, one owner and looks like it is in great condition. I am seeing them go for like 13K on here though but that isn't from the dealer.

What do you think I could get it for?

thats wayyyyyyyyy too much to pay.

people were buying them new in 02-03 for 16k.

a good condition used 02-03 id say anywhere from 10-14k depending on the condition.

So should I try to get the dealership to drop it down to like 13,500 or 14??? I know they were like 20K new and it is 4 years old. Seems it would drop more than 4K in that amount of time.

Thanks guys.

Sweet thanks. I have just started looking into these guys. Kind of been a hidden passion of mine before. I am going to stick it to that dealership and if they don't like it then I will walk.

yes, your gettin ripped off. Just for reference, I bought my '05 with 27k on it for 12,900 from a dealer. I offered them money and left. after the car didnt sell for a week or 2, they called me back. Id offer him 12.5-13k and walk away, he'll call you

Sweet dude. Thanks for all the input from you guys. I knew from the start I wasn't going to sign a thing without first consulting my advisers (HONDA TECH!). I would feel more happy about the purchase knowing I got a way fair price. And dropping the price 3k from what they are selling it for now would be nice.

The only problem I am thinking might occur is the the blue book on this car is 16,400???

What do I say to get them to go lower. I checked the NADA site and the national average was about 12.5.

I think I can get them to go down just because I noticed some blemishes (i.e. chipped side marker, scratched up rear panels, etc).

Any other pointers would be greatly appreciated. Some of this I know I need to figure out on my own if I am going to have the responsibility of owning a new(er) car but at the same time I am an EF guy. Not an EP3 guy. You guys know the cars, you know what's going down.

Thanks a ton.

I bought my 03 VBP w/ 60k miles for $9500. Took her up to 87k miles then swapped k24a2 in her. Now she's back down to ~16k miles.

No offense but you're 16. I don't know if they can go cheap enough for you. Plus your signature....

Oh, I know right! I wish... But at least it feels like a newer car again with this engine in there.

When I was 16, I had pipe dreams of getting a smooth black prelude and just kicking everyones *** on the road. Then I snapped back to reality and kept my little 92 Civic LX beater until I could afford something nicer.

Do this.. look at the trade in for that exact car add 2-3k to it and that should be about what you should pay for it.

There's still 02-03 EPs with <20k miles? That's rare, haha.
