Default f22b dohc parts

ok ive been told that the block from f22b is identical to the f22b1/2 and the head is an h23.
Now will i be ok using an h23 timing belt and f22b2 water pump?

Whoever told you that was wrong, very very wrong. I believe you use a B18C1 timing belt, and I think an H23A1 water pump

lol

The JDM F22B block is any old F22 block but with higher compresison pistons.
F-series blocks use F-series waterpumps.

On actual JDM F22Bs I have heard of people successfully using the GSR timing belt. Just check the width of the old belt to the new. If you end up using the H23 timing belt (narrower than GSR belt and one less tooth) you might get a little extra slack but it should still work.

Yea already bought the h23 timing belt, its cuz im buying all the parts before i go ahead i get the engine. But i was told about the slack on using the f22b2 water pump but the slack can be eliminated by tightening up the tension up a lot, is possible to switch the gear itself, not the whole just where the belt turns the pump.
Like wondering if i use the f22b2 water pump, can i pry of a used junker gear from an h23 water pump and switch it w/ the f22b2?

I wouldn't mess with trying to swap a water pump gear...you'd probably be better off just getting a new water pump from Honda.

yeah, don't mess with your water pump. Last thing you want is a back yard job going wrong and your motor gets pissed and decides to take a **** in your driveway!

so will an h23 water pump fit onto the f22b?
I always hear others just use f22b1/2 or f22a water pumps. Its cuz i have the timing belt already which is an h23 belt.

The H23 pump is NOT bolt-on. Don't use it.

so f22b2 water pump will work w/ the h23 timing belt. But about the slack i can get rid of it by tightening the tensioner right?
