I just used a 90-91 EX MC, 15/16" on the stock booster, had to bend one line about 15 degrees (very easy!)

go with what I suggested.

When mounting the 90-91 MC, thread the line that needs bent, twisted MC to fit onto the booster, reinstall the rest as normal.

i might have to bend the line.

anyone else have an option? maybe there's an easier way.

anyone have the brake line from a 94+ integra. im thinking i could just buy a brake line from the integra and it should fit just right. the line from the master cylinder to the proportioning valve.

civic has 10mm flare nuts, the teg has 1 12mm nut. your gonna have to cut it if you wann use that MC.
don't mix and match ABS MC/booster with non ABS MC/booster.

no, if you want to use this then you have 3 options.

1. rebend a hardline to fit.
2. get custom steel braided lines.
3. don't use it at all.

the integra's bends totally different not to mention they come with abs.

im kinda lost right now.
i got a 40/40 prop valve off an integra and 98' gsr 1" boost and mc.
which nuts are 10mm and which are 12mm? like on the gsr mc or on the prop valve?

will i be able to use my civic line and bend them?
or
will i be able to use integra line from mc to prop. and will my civic lines fit the prop to the brakes?

just figured out the nut size. the prop valve is 10mm and the mc is 12.

my stock line is only 10 at the mc....

what size is the rs brake line from mc to prop valve?

the master cylinder has 2 different nut sizes. on the left, the line runnning to it is a 12mm. and the line running on the right is a 10mm. all the sizes are 10mm. at the prop valve.

to be able to us this m/c and booster set up, you will have to customize the brake lines. whether you rebend some hardlines (cannot rebend the existing lines because they will kink up) or have some steel braided lines made up.

this is the only way it can work. you cannot use hardlines from the integra's because the bend and are routed differently.

here is a diy that was posted recently:

thats what i did, and for the 12mm line thats only on ABS MC, if you get non ABS type R its not the 12mm and bolts right up.

When i did mine i simply cut the line a bit and got the 10mm nut off, then i had the 12mm nut and put it on...used the flare tool to flare it. Then for the line rebend i used a can like a spray can and rolled the line on the side of it to get the angle i needed. easy to do.

how about you come to my house and show me. the hardline running from the passenger rear to the prop valve had to be cut due to it being seized up.
so now i cut it and i can't seem to get the bend i need to push the nut far enough to flare it w/o kinking up the line.

thinking of buying a new line from the dealer, but the want $120. any suggestions?
brake lines SUCK!

thanks for the info. im going to buy some hardlines and bend them to fit.

few more questions though.
1) do i need to do both lines coming from the mc or just the 12mm one? (will the oem line fit on the 10mm side of the mc)
2) what size hardline do i buy? (i remember i one time tried to buy some hardlines but they had many sizes)

-

i just noticed i got the ugly master cylinder.

what year and model did the other mc come from and will it bolt on to my booster? (looking for usdm ones, not jdm)

1st pic is from a non-ABS teg, 2nd is the ABS cars. you should not mix and match since the rod that depresses the MC piston is different lengths on ABS cars

as for your questions
#1 - the 10mm side (the right one) will bolt up.
#2 - i can't really say since i had custom braided lines made, but if i had to guess i would say buy a 10mm hardline, cut one side add the 12mm nut to the side you cut, double flare it, then bend to suit. you can pick up hardlines at any parts store.

their both from an abs car. if your point is that you shouldn't mix abs and non abs boosters then say that.

The second pic, is mine
It is NOT an abs MC...believe it or not. (Neither is the booster) (mine anyway)

If you read my how-to, on the topic, youd see that its not difficult...
There is a re-double-flaring how-to link on that thread also. Its quite simple

Um...you don't have to bend or change ANYTHING to make the 90-91 EX 15/16ths MC fit a 92 - 95 Civic. I did this the other day and it was a simple bolt-on affair that took ten minutes.

The Integra brake booster and MC swap is slightly harder, but if you aren't mentally retarded you should be able to use a simple line flaring tool to adapt the new 12mm flare nut to the new MC. I've done this before too - when I was 17 - and it worked like a charm.

Comparing the two, the 1" MC and corresponding brake booster stops the car better than the stock Civic brake booster and upgraded 15/16ths MC.

soo what model U.S. car has that mc in the second picture, or something that looks like it? the first pic is what i have but i think its pretty ugly.

so is it possible to swap the mc from the 2nd pic into the booster from the first pic?

and how much would the stainless steel lines cost, with all the fittings too. ?

no usdm honda has a non-abs 1" mc/bb...

If youre lazy or feel as if youre unable/uncomfortable cutting, reflaring, bending lines just get the 15/16" mc

No, you cannot use a horizontal mounting mc to a diagonal mounting booster...they need to match each other
Period

That is an abs unit, which requires 12mm abs nuts = cutting/reflaring current lines (but no rebending to accomodate where the fittings are)

My picture is a non-abs 1" jdm itr unit
(hence, the port on the 'wrong' side....because it originally mounts on the passenger side)
