trouble selling because of jdm odometer
i was wondering if any of you guys have ever had problems selling a car because it doesnt have the original odometer.... my girl bought her 98 integra with a jdm itr odometer that reads 110,xxx miles and was told the car had only 70,000 so shes put about 12,000 miles on it and wants to sell it now because she is buying a truck and people are kinda iffy about it because they think were tryna scam them or somthing... anyone have similar experiences ?
we told them the car only really has about 82,xxx miles on it now but theyre like yea but i go by what the bill of sale or pink slip says and that says 110,xxx so i was liek yea and the cars here dont even come with this odometer at all so you know for a fact thats not the cars real miles but they seem to not beleive me, they think we still are doing somthing and got tricks up our sleeves or somthin

well i dont know where but i heard somewhere if you switch out the clusters (odometers) its automatically results in a salvage title. it may be cali im thinking of, i know theyre real bitchy with their laws.
anyway yeah. unless you have paperwork proving its the true mileage. or if you could have a shop switch the cluters then have that shop report the difference to carfax or somthing, im not sure if that would work but yeah.. its definetly not going to be worth as much as if it had the origonal cluster.
