Default Civic Type R Trans?

I sold my B16B hatch to a local. He just doesn't seem to think that the 00 USDM ITR trans that is on the engine is the same as the CTR trans in Japan. I bought the trans new from Acura in early 2001 BTW. Anyhow I was told that the USDM ITR and the CTR trans are identical in all aspects including the final drive of 4.40. Can anyone please confirm this. I have done a search to no avail. Many tnx......

If the CTR tranny is like the 'later' JDM ITR... the tranny is not the same as the USDM tranny.

CTR gear ratios are the same as EG6 Civic, JDM '96 spec ITR and USDM ITR.

Type R tranny's in general 98+ all have the same gear ratios. However, what differs from the USDM to the JDM is the Final drive, USDM is 4.40 and JDM is 4.785

ALL CTR trans are same as USDM ITR.

Only 98spec(read 98+) JDM ITR have different FD and 4-5 gears.
