carbon fiber hatch license plate lights!!! question

Default carbon fiber hatch license plate lights!!! question

i have a 92 hatch wit a carbon fiber hatch and i wanna know how can i put some lights so the cops wont pull me over ????? any help ??

A dremel with a cutting wheel and some grinding bits.

No. I haven't done it, because I don't have a carbon fiber hatch. I'm just telling you those are the tools I've used to cut precise holes in carbon fiber before (installing hood pins). You'll basically need the OEM license plate lights with harness, and cut a holes large enough to put them in. Then you'll need to drill a couple of holes to put screws through to hold them in.

yeah i know but the thing is that the trunk is not OEM so i cant make any holes

then you wernt thinking about what i was saying... remember you want to light to shine directly offf the plate.... not just in the air

actually its appears that its not.... the frame doesnt sit as deep into the hatch as an oem one.

i still think he should be able to mount some lights above that only produce light onto the plate pointed downwards.

some hotrods have plate mounting bolts with little lights, probably leds in them.

Those are generally illegal, and do more to hinder visibility to the plate (by creating glare) than they do to illuminate the plate.
