Default d16 throttle body question

I currently have a y7 engine in my car (stock). I would like to upgrade to a y8 intake manifold. The problem is that the throttle body on the y8 mani is missing the TPS sensor. So my question is can I use my y7 TPS sensor on a y8 throttle body?

Yes, you can use a pair of dykes or take a dremel very slowly to the nuts, you will need two bolts of course (easy) and a voltmeter to calibrate it. The TPS should read .49-.50V CLOSED, and around 4.50V WOT, you will need to clock the TPS to the right voltage, or you will have a very rapid idle surge.

cool, i just needed to know if the y7 TPS sensor will fit a y8. I'm going to take this to a shop and hopefully they should know how to do this.

dont even waste you money at a shop, just need to dremel slots in the rivets and get a flathead screwdriver to back them out. fin! simple as that. gl
