Do you think that this exhaust is too loud? I live in a city where they pull modded cars over on a constant. I was just wondering if the Invidia exhaust system is louder then 95db. I was planning on buying this system but I am hesitant due to the sound output. Whats your guys take on it and also is there a baffle or silencer option? I just want to make sure if I do get pulled over and cited that at least the exhaust will pass the db test...

 

i'm not sure if there's a silencer, but you could always get one. anyways, if you get pulled over for having a loud exhaust, and your exhaust is indeed below 95db, you will still have to pay; it is up to the cops discretion (California law). where do you live in norcal anyways? i live there. IMO, if you want an aftermarket exhaust that isn't too loud, go with the rsr-exmag, magnaflow, world sport 2, or greddy sport performance.

 

I live in Stockton..cops here are horrible. When they cite they just have you go to Modesto to have your car checked for db rating. You can get fined or if you pass the test they reduce it to a fix-it. Regardless it's a pain...but my team mate has a Greddy that he has db papers from Greddy stating that the exhuast is CA dB compliant. So they let him go so far...just wondering if Invidia is under 95dB and if they can supply papers for it.

 

My friend (in santa rosa) provided paperwork, but due to "the deterioration of the sound dampening in the muffler," the paperwork no longer accurately represents his exhaust; therefore, he got a ticket... cops are ******** in cali.

 

Yea I heard of them doing that also...word cops are jerks...
