Tuning? when do i do it?
Ok so i recently bought a vafc, and i want to have it tuned, does anyonw know about, ball park on how long it takes, tintmasters does it for 75-hr. Now say i go get it tuned and later on i decide to go buy a header or any other mod like that, do i need to get it tuned again? any info on tuning would be appreciated thanks
Take that VAFC off your car before you damage something. Those things are horrible if you don't know what you're doing with them. When you go with a cam or something more in-depth, then you can try your hand at putting that VAFC abomination back on, and getting it tuned immediately. Until then, I don't see the advantage to attempting to use that thing.
In terms of tuning devices, I would suggest Hondata or Crome instead of that VAFC anyway.

Neptune is also good.
When you have the money, and more education on turbo charging or what ever mod's you think you want to do.
Then find a tuner and begin to ask him what fuel management he works with.
Then begin buying parts.
Oh yea read more here and on the other Honda forums.

i just did a b16a swap into my car not too long ago and i had it dyno tuned to ge everything clicking correctly. it should be done asap if you want a horsepower boost. i gained 10hp to the wheels with a good tune.

You must be using a different ECU than what was supplied for the engine. Not smart. You shouldnt need any tuning unless your built/boosted.
Tuning a stock engine is pointless, and not good for the engine, since you putting the A/F ratios, ignition maps and fuel maps out of hondas specs.
Maybe if your OBD1 wiht a ton of mods, then you might pick up a poney or a donkey (dp)
